Zingato is committed to safeguarding your privacy. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, protect, and share your information when you use our mobile app, website, or related services. By accessing or using Zingato, you agree to this policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only the information necessary to provide and improve our delivery services. This includes:
Full name, phone number, email address
Delivery address and area pincode
Order history, including past purchases and order preferences
Payment method (UPI, card type) — we do not store card or UPI details directly
For vendors: business name, address, contact details, product listings
For delivery partners: full name, contact, identification (Aadhaar, PAN), bank details, and live location (during active delivery)
We do not collect your IP address or device identifiers. We do not access or store your phone contacts, SMS, media, or call logs.
2. Use of Information
We use your information only to:
Facilitate smooth order placement and delivery
Show relevant restaurants, grocery stores, or service providers based on your location
Provide real-time updates on your order status
Offer customer support and resolve complaints
Allow secure login and account management
Send service alerts, billing details, or promotional offers if opted-in
Manage vendor subscriptions and payouts
Verify delivery personnel and assign orders
3. Location Access
Zingato requires access to your location only when the app is in use, to:
Show nearby vendors based on your GPS
Calculate accurate delivery times
Track delivery personnel during active deliveries
Delivery partners are tracked only during active orders. We do not collect or track your location outside the app’s delivery scope.
4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal data to anyone. Your information may be shared only with:
Delivery partners assigned to your order (limited to name, address, contact, and order details)
Vendors who are fulfilling your order
Payment processors for secure transactions
Logistics or third-party services necessary for delivery
Government agencies or law enforcement only if legally required (e.g., under a valid court order)
5. Data Security
Your privacy is our top priority. Zingato implements strong security measures such as:
End-to-end encryption for all user communication and payment data
Secure cloud storage and database protections
Regular system audits and access control measures
Role-based access for employees or service partners
We do not store any financial details (like card/UPI credentials) directly. Those are handled securely by third-party payment gateways.
6. Cookies & Analytics
We may use cookies or session data only to improve app performance and remember your basic preferences (like your last-used address or selected language).
We do not use tracking cookies for advertising or third-party analytics beyond internal app performance analysis.
7. User Rights
You have full control over your data. You may:
View and update your profile information anytime
Change delivery preferences or delete saved addresses

Unsubscribe from marketing or promotional notifications by changing your notification preferences in the app
8. Retention of Information
We retain user data only for as long as necessary to provide service or as required by law. When you delete your account, all personal data will be permanently removed within 7 working days, except for data required to comply with legal or tax obligations.
9. Children’s Privacy
Zingato is not intended for individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If we become aware that information of a child has been submitted, we will delete it promptly.
10. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this policy as our services evolve or in compliance with new legal requirements. In case of significant changes, users will be notified via in-app alert or email. Continued use of the app after updates means you agree to the revised policy.
